Nine dead in shoot-out between rival biker gangs at Texas restaurant
Scene: Law enforcement officers investigate a shooting in the parking lot of the Twin Peaks Restaurant

Police say at least nine people have been killed after gunfire erupted between rival biker gangs at a Central Texas restaurant.

Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton told KWTX-TV there were "multiple victims" in the shooting shortly after noon Sunday adjacent to Interstate 35.

The severity of the injuries was not immediately clear and it's unknown if bystanders at Twin Peaks restaurant were among the injured.

Swanton said authorities are conceed that gang members are moving to other parts of the city to continue the confrontation elsewhere.

McLennan County District Attoey Abel Reyna told KWTX earlier this month that law enforcement was aware of simmering conflicts between gangs that gathered at the restaurant.
