News team robbed while reporting on 'sketchy neighborhood' app
WUSA9 news team reporting on 'sketchy neighbourhood' app should have use it themselves after van robbed in Washington

A news team reporting on an app that highlighted ‘sketchy neighbourhoods’ in the area should have probably used it themselves after having their equipment stolen during the broadcast.

‘As folks were telling us that it was a good neighbourhood and not much activity happens around there our van was being robbed,’ said WUSA9 reporter Mola Lenghi, who was interviewing locals in Petworth, Washington.

Luckily for them another app, Find My iPhone, came to their rescue after they managed to locate one of their phones using it.

The device was found in a bin along with most of the stolen equipment that included laptops and cameras.

Lenghi added: ‘All in all not too bad of a loss, but I’m sure the station wouldn’t agree with that.’
