New Jersey Police arrest Pedro Garcia, Wilfredo Sanchez over discovery of severed head
Two men have been arrested in relation to the discovery of a dismembered body in New Jersey on Monday.
Pedro Garcia, 33, and Wilfredo Sanchez, 34, were last night detained by police investigating the gruesome death of Francisco Gonzalez Fuentes, 46.
The severed head and torso of the restaurant worker, who was a roommate of Garcia's, was found behind the St. Demetrius Melkite-Greek Church on Cliff Street on Monday afteoon.
According to friends and family of the victim, the police were called to Gonzalez's apartment after he was reported missing.
Police dogs apparently then led investigators to a nearby church where they discovered his head and torso.
It is believed more body parts were found in a separate location nearby.
The accused pair are being held on charges of murder, weapons possession, desecration of human remains and hindering apprehension.
