Nebraska woman Vanessa Ramirez accused of leaving toddler home alone while she brags about it at bar

An intoxicated woman who was removed from a bar early Thursday had been bragging about leaving her 2-year-old daughter home alone, according to police.

KETV reported that police were called to the Pheasant Tave in Omaha to remove 28-year-old Vanessa Ramirez because she was too intoxicated.

Police later leaed that Ramirez had left her child home alone and that she had been bragging about it at the bar.

Ramirez, however, told authorities that her sister was home with the child and allowed them to enter the apartment.

Inside, officers found the 2-year-old girl in a crib, with “noticeably puffy watery eyes and a soiled diaper.”

Ramirez’ sister arrived at the apartment during the investigation and said she was not aware the girl was home alone.

The girl was removed from the apartment.

Ramirez was charged with one felony count of intentional child abuse.
