Munhall Couple Chrystal Plesniak and Robert Guyer Charged With Locking Up Child, 6
MUNHALL, Pa. -- A Munhall couple has been charged after being accused of locking up their 6-year-old son in his bedroom.
Police said Chrystal Plesniak and Robert Guyer, both 23, locked their son up in his room for the past two months, only allowing him to leave so that he could go to the restroom.
According to the criminal complaint, Plesniak and Guyer began locking the boy in the room because he was having accidents on the floor.
When asked how long the boy was locked in his room, the complaint stated that he said "Forever. I never come out."
Plesniak and Guyer are charged with child endangerment, conspiracy and aggravated assault.
Police said the boy told a Children’s Hospital worker that he would get hungry, but his parents wouldn’t let him eat or drink.
The boy’s grandmother took him to the hospital after she noticed bruises on him, police said.
A hearing for Plesniak and Guyer is scheduled for July 6.
