Mugger refuses to take victim’s uncool flip phone
Flip phones are now so uncool even criminals don’t want to be seen using them.
Last weekend 25-year-old Kevin Cook was mugged at gunpoint in New York’s Central Park but managed to keep hold of his phone after his attacker refused to take his handset.
‘Once he saw my phone, he looked at it like, “What the f*** is this?” and gave it back to me,’ Mr Cook told the New York Post.
‘It’s like a three-year-old generation Windows phone.
‘I guess he didn’t think he could get anything for it. It’s kind of humorous.’
The armed thief and his accomplice reportedly threatened to kill Cook and his friend during the mugging but managed to flee the scene before police could catch them.
