Missing Texas girl Adriana Coronado found dead, police say

A body found in a field in west Houston has been identified as that of Adriana Coronado, 14, who went missing Saturday after her father was found murdered.

She and her father, Caesar Vladimir Coronado, were last seen alive around in the Houston suburb of Katy at around 1am on Saturday. His shot and bued body was found 80 miles away in easte Texas on Sunday. His bued-out pickup truck was found 45 miles south of his body.

Investigators believe that his death was a homicide and that Adriana was present when her father was killed. They had hoped that she would be found alive, but a decomposing body was identified as her on Friday.

The body was found lying in a field a few feet from the road on Wednesday, police spokeswoman Jodi Silva said, according to The Washington Post

Adriana was identified by her fingerprints and a cause of death is yet to be determined.

On Thursday The Walker County’s Sheriff’s Office released a video of a man that was wanted for questioning in relation to her disappearance.

The footage was taken from security camera near where Mr Coronado's bued-out car was found. It shows a man running from an area along I-45 and Enterprise Row, where the bued vehicle was found. 

The footage shows a Ford F-150 truck driving near the scene, which could be connected to the case.

Person of interest: The individual's face is not clearly visible, but authorities hope someone who knows the person might recognize him and come forward

Adriana's mother, who is currently having surgery in Mexico, spoke anonymously to Click 2 Houston and said she had last spoken with her daughter on Friday.

She said she had called Adriana that evening and that the girl was with her father at the time and seemed happy.

The woman added that nothing had seemed wrong during the call, and that Adriana had planned to have friends over to the house on Saturday.

However, when those friends arrived they found that Adriana was not at home, it was reported.

Coronado was last seen in Katy, Texas, on Saturday at around 1am
