Mequon Man Dennis Markov Accused Of Killing Parents Says He's Not Guilty
PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. -- A Mequon man charged with killing his parents said he's not guilty.
Dennis Markov, 20, was in court for a hearing Wednesday.
He pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree intentional homicide.
Investigators said Markov shot and killed his parents, Victor and Larissa Markov, n April after an argument over $5.
During Wednesday's hearing, a detective who was called to the scene testified about what Markov told him happened that day.
"He said that he was just sick and tired of his parents because they called him lazy, and they did not respect him," Mequon police Detective Charles O'Connell said.
A trial is scheduled to begin in January.
