Married teacher couple Charli and Jamie Parker allegedly had sex with students

Charli Parker, 30, was arrested on Monday for allegedly having sex with a male student. Then just two days later, her husband Jamie, 32, was arrested for allegedly having sexual relations with a former female student, according to AL.com.

Charlie allegedly engaged in sexual acts with the male student on 11 occasions, including at her home and in a graveyard. Details about the charges against Jamie have not been released yet.

The couple, who work at Pickens Academy in Alabama, are facing separate charges. They met while studying at the University of West Alabama and married in 2010. They have a young son together, the Detroit News Time reported.

Jamie worked at the school as a math teacher, while his wife Charli computers and elementary school. Both also worked as basketball coaches at the institution.

Charlie has been released from jail on a $110,000 bail but her husband remains in prison.

They both face up to 20 years in prison if found guilty, Heavy.com reported.

About 250 students attend Pickens Academy, which is a pre-kindergarten to high school. It employs about 20 teachers and administrators.

In a statement, the school’s headmaster said they are “shocked and dismayed” by the allegations and that the teachers were immediately suspended from their jobs.

“We ... will be working to support all of our students and families in coping with this news. The safety and wellbeing of our students is and always will be our top priority. Unfortunately, these events have been a distraction from the many great things that take place at Pickens Academy. I request continued prayers for our school family and for all those involved,” they said.
