Man dies after jumping in front of theme park pirate ship
Police say an Illinois man died after throwing himself in front of a pirate ship ride.
Families enjoying the Naperville’s Ribfest watched in horror as the man jumped in to the path of the ride while there were people on board.
The man has not yet been named.

Witnesses told the Daily Herald the ride hit the man three times before operators were able to tu it off.
The annual event is a celebration of barbecue food and music, according to its website.
Naperville Deputy Police Chief Brian Cunningham said the ride was working properly at the time of the incident.
He said: ‘It was not a ride malfunction and it doesn’t look like it was accidental. It’s a sad situation.’
