Seven people, including a sheriff's deputy, suffered injuries early Sunday after a brawl broke out at a North Carolina country club, according to the Sampson County Sheriff's Office.
According to a report in The Fayetteville Observer, authorities got multiple calls around 2:30 a.m. about a large-scale fight that had broken out at the Lakewood Country Club clubhouse in Salemburg. The clubhouse had reportedly been rented out for a private party at the time.

Sheriff's deputies arrived to find multiple groups of people fighting. They managed to break up the fights, but not before three people were shot, one person was stabbed, and two others beaten, according to The Sampson Independent. A sheriff's deputy also suffered a minor cut to the arm and another deputy's vehicle was struck by people attempting to flee from the country club, although the deputy was not injured.
One person suffered serious injuries in the melee, according to the Independent.
Authorities did not immediately identify those injured. No arrests have been made yet and no motive has been identified.
