Kansas woman in critical condition after being beaten, raped and set on fire
A woman is in critical condition after police say she was beaten, raped and set on fire in Wichita, Kansas late Friday, according to KWCH.
The woman, who has not been identified, suffered bus to 55 percent of her body and a laceration to her head.
Crews initially responded to a report of a fire at Fairmount Park, where they found the woman beaten, bued and sexually assaulted. The incident reportedly happened between 10:50 and 11:15 p.m. Friday, but say the woman does not remember much.
Police aren’t sure if she was targeted, or if she was the victim of a random attack.
Police are asking for anyone who has information about the attack to contact authorities.
