'I have Ebola!': Plane passenger's joke backfires
‘I have Ebola!': Plane boarded by men in hazmat suits after passenger’s joke backfires

A plane passenger sparked panic after shouting ‘I have Ebola!’ on a flight.

The unidentified man from North America was travelling from Philadelphia, US, to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, when he made the remark.

Local media reports that the man yelled out ‘I have Ebola!’, but airport officials told FOX he had said ‘I’ve just been to Africa!’.

When US Airways flight 845 landed on the Caribbean island it was quickly boarded by emergency personnel wearing blue hazmat suits.
