HPD: Suspect Alexander Jackson Confesses to Pregnant Woman's Murder
HOUSTON - Police have arrested a suspect in the brutal murder of a 24-year-old pregnant woman found dead in a southeast Houston field.
Alexander Adam Jackson, 24, confessed to killing Sherell Nicole Baldwin, dumping her body in the 9500 block of Scranton Street and later setting it on fire , according to a Houston Police Department statement.
Jackson was arrested without incident on Thursday around 11:55 p.m.
Baldwin, an aspiring model , was found dead on June 16. Autopsy results showed she suffered various types of trauma and was in the third trimester of her pregnancy.
The Huntsville native was in Houston to visit a friend.
