High school student Alexa De Armas arrested, accused of running prostitution ring

AUTHORITIES in Florida say a 17-year-old high school student organised a prostitution ring of students from nearby high schools.

The teenager was arrested on Friday on felony charges of human trafficking of a person under 18.

Police say at least one act of prostitution took place, which led to the arrest of 21-year-old John Michael Mosher.

He’s accused of paying $40 and a bottle of liquor to have sex with a 15-year-old girl.

The victim did not want to participate in the sex act, according to police documents

“She stated she told Mosher she did not want to have sexual intercourse with him to which he disregarded and forcefully held her against the wall of the pool shed building, restricting her movement and ability to flee,” the report said.

Police Captain Tom Mattmuller told the Sarasota Herald-Tribune another arrest is expected on Tuesday.

Officials say the ring was uncovered when four students confided to administrators at Venice High School.

Documents indicate the teen and at least one other student concocted the plan over the summer to prostitute teens for money and alcohol.

Students told officers that the alleged organiser coordinated at least three prostitution deals — including the one with the 15-year-old — by using Facebook, Snapchat and Kik.

“Why pimp out old hoes when I have fresh young hoes I can give up for money?” the Sarasota High student reportedly wrote in one Facebook exchange to a business partner, adding, “As long as I’m getting paid I’m trafficking all these (expletive deleted).”

Police said none of the sexual activities being investigated happened on school grounds.
