A woman who asked a police officer if she could bring her weed in the car was surprised when she was arrested by the sergeant.

In her defence, she was described as ‘extremely intoxicated’.

Sadly, this isn’t the kind of defence that actually stands up in court.

Michelle Sandford, 36, asked a police sergeant in West Volusia, Florida if she could bring her weed with her after he said that she couldn’t bring an open bottle of beer.

The News Joual said that officers had been called to her residence after a dispute with boyfriend, Thomas Laudenslager.

Laudenslager said, ‘Why don’t you take your weed with you?’

She tried to, and was duly charged.

She said she had asked as, ‘It’s just weed and he might be cool with it.’
