Florida teen Malachi Love-Robinson pretends to be doctor, performs unlicensed exam, police say
An 18-year-old man who pretended to be a doctor was arrested Tuesday for practicing medicine without a license, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies arrested Malachi Love-Robinson after conducting an undercover investigation at his medical office in West Palm Beach, Florida.
He was charged with fraudulently practicing medicine and was served a notice to cease and desist by the Palm Beach County Department of Health. The health department also issued several citations.
The Palm Beach Narcotics Task Force and the Florida Department of Health began investigating a complaint about Love-Robinson on Feb. 4. Love-Robinson was investigated and cited by the health department in October 2015, the sheriff’s office said.
The investigation showed that he opened a medical office at 4700 Congress Ave, suite 303. During the undercover investigation, Love-Robinson performed a physical exam on an undercover agent and offered medical advice, the sheriff’s office said.
