Firefighter Saul Abraham Fiszer Charged in Child Pornography Case

HOUSTON - A captain with the Houston Fire Department has been arrested and placed in a Harris County jail holding cell. Police say his wife discovered he was carrying on a cell phone relationship with a 14-year-old girl in Wyoming.

Saul Abraham Fiszer, who has worked with the Houston Fire Department over an 18-year period, has been charged with three felony counts of possession of child poography.

The teen girl maintained contact with Fiszer, 49, from Casper, Wyo.

During a forensic investigation of Fiszer's computers and portable storage devices, officers found nude images of young boys and girls.

HFD Chief Terry Garrison revealed Friday during a news conference that he requested Fiszer's resignation from the department. The necessary resignation documents were brought to jail for Fiszer to sign and he cooperated.

Police say they leaed of Fiszer's relationship with the teen when his wife reported the incident. She also found the poographic images on his Toshiba lapop computer.

"These type of crimes are atrocious and our biggest fear now is that we have one member who's accused of these crimes and I know he's got to go through that due process. But our biggest fear is that somehow that will be linked to us as Houston firefighters," said Chief Garrison. He also said an inteal HFD investigation has begun to determine if any city property was used to obtain child poography.
