Colorado teacher's aide Cassandra Rein found passed out with syringe in arm
A Colorado teacher's aide who was found passed out in a bathroom by elementary school students had a syringe stuck in her arm and white powder by her side, according to police documents.
Cassandra Rein, 27, was found by four first grade girls on Thursday in the bathroom at the Denver Center for Inteational Studies at Ford Elementary School.
The girls thought Rein was asleep.

The young students went and got a school employee who spotted the syringe and other apparent contraband, according to CBS Denver.
Police arrived around 11.30am, ABC 7 reported.
One of the four girls who found Rein, seven-year-old Lissette, said: 'I saw in the bathroom a teacher sleeping on the floor, and we told my teacher.
'My teacher called 911.'
The aide said she had a roommate who was diabetic but couldn't explain why she had the syringe.
Police documents state Rein was 'passed out in the restroom with a syringe hanging out of her arm, and a piece of metal foil, with an empty clear bag containing a small amount of unknown white powder by her side'.

A search of her bag and purse tued up 'several bottles of various pills, several more syringes, and metal caps containing a but powder substance residue'.
She was taken to the hospital and then arrested for possessing a controlled substance.
Rein was placed on administrative leave and was still in custody on Friday night.
Parents were informed of what had happened via a letter from DCIS at Ford principal Ginger Conroy.
The principal wrote: 'As a result of this incident, the staff member is currently under investigation for drug-related offenses on school property.
'We are working with the Denver Police Department and the DPS Office of Safety and Security on this investigation.
'Please know that the safety and well-being of our students is our priority.
'The school counselor talked with the students involved in this incident and is available to talk with other students if they are troubled by this incident.'
