Brooklyn College spends $107K to redesign logo perceived as phallic

Brooklyn College is making headlines (and everyone giggle) after the news broke that they coughed up an impressive $107,000 to completely redesign their logo following conces from new President Karen Gould that the "clocktower" too closely resembled a giant time-keeping phallus (above left). Only if you look at it for a really long time, though.

A spokesman for Brooklyn College stated that no tuition or public funds were used to pay for the redesign, though where all that money came from remains a mystery. Wherever they found the money, the top-notch design team certainly fulfilled their end of the bargain. The college's new logo (above right) is effectively phallus-free and definitely has that look of a design worth $107K. All those words are really nice. — By Michaela Gianotti [Source]
