Body found in Marshfield confirmed as missing boater Zac Woods
MARSHFIELD - A family friend has confirmed that the body recovered from the waters off Brant Rock in Marshfield Saturday evening is that of the young man who fell into water from a boat earlier this summer.
The body was discovered submerged on the bottom by a recreational diver, who then called State Police.
Mass State Police Dive Team, Marine Section, Crime Scene Services Section and the Plymouth County State Police Detective Unit all responded.
Two men were thrown from a boat when their boat struck a rock near Hewitt's point on July 16. The driver of the boat was rescued by a nearby kayaker but the passenger, who a friend said 23-year-old Zac Woods was not found.
