Armed Man Fatally Shot By Deputies In Shoreline
SHORELINE, Washington -- One person was killed in an officer-involved shooting in Shoreline early Wednesday afteoon, the King County Sheriff's Office said.
The Sheriff’s Office said a distraught man with a knife was threatening to commit suicide at a home in the area of 199th Street and Fremont Avenue North. When the man’s girlfriend tried to wrestle the knife away from the man, she was cut, police said.
Someone called 911, and when deputies responded, the man came out of the house with a gun and a knife, and at some point, he was shot and killed by police, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Police and medical crews are at the scene.
