3 Charged In Dearborn Robbery, Bomb Threat
DEARBORN, Mich. -- Dearbo police said three people have been arrested and charged in connection with the Aug. 3 robbery and bomb threat at the Check 'N' Go on Michigan Avenue.
Police said Kami Marable, 18, and Leon Crawford, 57, both of Detroit, were armed with a handgun when they robbed the store and told employees that a bag contained a bomb in it.
Dechaun Smith, 38, also of Detroit, was the getaway driver, police said.
Police said they recovered a handgun and two replica guns when they arrested the three.
Marable and Smith are charged with armed robbery, false report or threat of a bomb or harmful device, and felony firearm.
Smith also is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.
Crawford is charged with armed robbery, false report or threat of a bomb or harmful device, and felony firearm.
Marable and Crawford both received $500,000 bonds. Smith's bond was set at $1 million. All three will be tethered if they post their bonds.
They are scheduled to appear in court Aug. 19 for their preliminary exams.
