101-year-old woman raped in her home by robber, just because he saw her in bed

A man has been charged with rape after breaking into the home of a 101-year-old woman.

Antoine Devon Pettis claims he initially intended to rob the home, but changed his mind when he saw the elderly woman in bed.

Pettis reportedly told police that he ‘would have wo a condom’ had his sexual assault been pre-meditated.

Unfortunately for the 20-year-old from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, his logic is unlikely to mitigate his charge.

He currently faces counts of burglary, aggravated battery and second-degree sexual assault, and he faces up to 58 years in prison.

Pettis was identified as a suspect through a DNA sample obtained from the victim and a DNA sample obtained from a male relative in different case.

Milwaukee police say he is only the second suspect in state history to be identified in this manner.

The woman was taken to the hospital where she was treated for her injuries.
