Woman sees ‘UFO’ in the sky – and police are just as mystified

When a Pennsylvania woman claimed to see a UFO above her house, you couldn’t be blamed for thinking she’d just imagined it.

But when local police responded to her call, they saw it too – and were just as mystified.

Stephanie Wilkerson said she was relaxing on a porch when she spotted a giant circle of flashing lights in the dark skies over her home.

And with no idea who to call, she dialled 911.

‘I thought it was a plane until I realised it wasn’t moving,’ she told ABC News.

‘I watched it for about 20 minutes and I started noticing it changing colors.’

And when an officer arrived he couldn’t explain the dancing lights either – so he called two of his colleagues.

‘He went there and apparently he saw them, too, so he called his sergeant and his corporal to come and verify what he was seeing,’ said Lieutenant Gary Seefeldt.

Officers did the sensible thing and called nearby airports and military bases, but they didn’t have an explanation.

There is still no word on what the lights are or what they belong to.
