Wisconsin mom finds out daughter has secret identical TWIN while shopping for her Christmas present

A Wisconsin woman attempted to get her daughter the perfect gift for Christmas – but never expected this.

It’s always nice to get a few surprise presents over the festive period but it’s hard to imagine anything quite as life changing as finding out you’re a twin.

While shopping for presents for her 10-year-old daughter Audrey, Jennifer Doering found out her daughter actually had an identical sister she had no idea existed.

Jennifer wanted to find her adopted daughter Audrey's “finding ad” as a meaningful gift. The ads are published in Chinese newspapers when a baby is placed in an orphanage.

Jennifer and her husband Tom contacted a website which specialises in finding information on children put up for adoption.

The website listed information about Audrey and had a photograph which they said was taken at the orphanage – which Jennifer bought.

But when the picture arrived she realized it included another baby – Audrey’s twin – who they were never told about.

Jennifer and Tom spent days scouring old adoption websites and came across another family who had adopted a baby from the same orphanage.

Gracie, the other baby, had unbelievably been adopted in the same state of Wisconsin.

The couple tracked down the other family on Facebook and gave the two sisters the chance to talk to each other over FaceTime.

When they saw each other for the first time, the two girls realized they looked identical.

Gracie’s mom described the moment the two met.

Despite the girls never meeting, Gracie’s mom said: “It’s crazy, not just do they look alike, their voices are the same and their mannerisms are the same.”

Now that they've discovered their body doubles, the girls are planning to meet in person.
