Video of brutal home invasion of sleeping man in Alvord, Texas
VIDEO has been released from a security camera that shows three masked men bursting into a home and brutally attacking the sleeping owner.
Wise County Sheriff David Walker hopes the release of the video will help identify the attackers, ABC WFAA reports.
The home invasion, which occurred on September 16, shows the men kick in a side door of a home in the rural community of Alvord, Texas, before entering the property.
The masked men head straight to the bedroom where the victim is sleeping. Only his two dogs are aware of their presence.
"I don't think they were planning on the victim fighting back," said Walker. "That probably spooked them."
Walker said the homeowner had security cameras installed when he was renting out rooms in his house and wanted to deter theft.
