USF employee Peter Barnhill faces child porn charges
RIVERVIEW - An employee of the University of South Florida faces 20 counts of second-degree possession of child poography.
Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputies arrested 40-year-old Peter R. Bahill at his home Tuesday on 13405 Beechberry Drive, where they found numerous downloaded files of child po.
The files depict children as young as toddlers in lewd positions of engaging in sexual activity, deputies said.
Investigators say Bahill admitted to downloading them onto his computer. He was taken into custody without incident.
This came after a two-month, online child exploitation investigation by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
According to USF’s website, Bahill is a technology and system analyst in the department of pharmacology and physiology. He’s been with the university for 17 years.
