Two skydivers killed after colliding midair and plummeting to ground in Arizona

TWO skydivers died after they collided in midair, causing their parachutes to collapse and sending them plummeting to earth.

Another was injured in the crash which happened during a jump over southe Arizona in the US.

The skydivers were reportedly 300 feet in the air when they crashed, FoxNews reports. One was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was taken to Casa Grande Regional Medical Center where they were also pronounced dead.

Police spokesman Sgt Brian Jerome said police did not believe the injuries to the third skydiver were "related to or caused by the collision".

The accident happened at Skydive Arizona at the Eloy Municipal Airport. On Saturday 63 women jumped in the same zone to break the world record for an all-female mass formation jump.
