Terry Bowling, Suspect in Fatal Police Shooting, has Long Criminal History
A man being held in police custody following a shooting that claimed the life of a Livonia police officer has a criminal history that dates back to 1989, FOX 2 has leaed.
According to Michigan's Department of Corrections website , Terry Bowling's criminal history includes an armed robbery charge that landed him in jail for over 10 years until his release in November of 2009. Previous criminal offenses include delivery of a controlled substance and breaking and entering into coin operated devices.
Bowling, 48, is currently in custody after police say his brother David opened fire on Officer Larry Nehasil following a burglary in Walled Lake Monday evening .
Both David Bowling and Nehasil were killed in the shootout.
According to police, the Bowling brothers were under surveillance at the time of the burglary.
