Teenage girl with autism Hallee Sorenson gets best birthday present ever
A photo of a teenage girl with autism celebrating her birthday alone when no one showed up to the party has inspired people all over the world to show a bit of kindness.
Rebecca Lyn shared the photo of her cousin, Hallee, who spent her 18th birthday alone in Bangor, Maine. Halle sent invitations to her classmates, but none of them came.
This year however, before Hallee’s 19th birthday, Rebecca decided to give her cousin a celebration she would remember forever.
She wrote, in a facebook post, for people to send Hallee birthday cards, “I would love to flood her mailbox with birthday cards, from all over! Hal loves getting mail – this would be the best birthday gift she could ask for,”

'We’ll pick a few things for Hallee and her sister to keep, put aside a few things for Christmas and the rest we’ll donate,' said Mrs. Seel-Sorenson

According to the Hallee’s 19th Birthday facebook page, over 10,000 cards have poured in from around the world.
Hallee’s birthday is in July, if you would like to send her a card, you can mail them to:
