Target 'Multi-Cultural Tips' for managers racist, lawsuit says
Corporate communications are hilarious, but they stop being funny when they're clueless to the point of being offensive. Case in point: a lawsuit by three former Target warehouse workers in Califoia that takes issue with the "Multi-Cultural Tips" reportedly provided to managers.
The "tips" allegedly included the following: "a. Food: not everyone eats tacos and burritos; b. Music: not everyone dances to salsa; c. Dress: not everyone wears a sombrero; d. Mexicans (lower education level, some may be undocumented); e. Cubans (Political refugees, legal status, higher education level); and f. They may say 'OK, OK' and pretend to understand, when they do not, just to save face." And this makes you ready to manage a Target warehouse how? [Source]
