Suspect Markeith Loyd on the run after female cop shot NINE times in Florida
Orlando police say a GUNMAN is at large after walking past a female cop and shooting her "nine times". One witness revealed the unnamed police officer was shot at least nine times just after 7am (local time).
Dozens of police vehicles descended on the area near a road intersection between Pine Hills Road and North Lane.
The fatal shooting happened near a Walmart store.
Orlando Police later confirmed the officer had died of her injuries.

The suspect was allegedly wearing a "security uniform" when he opened fire.
"(The gunman) was an average looking dude, he walked by me, had a security vest and everything," witness James Herman told Channel 9.
"I was walking down the sidewalk, right past the officer, and I heard her tell him to stop, or whatever, and he shot her. He shot her down.
"He took off running. It's unreal."
Orlando Police have confirmed they are hunting Markeith Loyd who they believe to be the suspect.

Orlando County's Sheriff's Office reported Loyd is a murder suspect.
He is accused of murdering his pregnant 24-year-old girlfriend Sade Dixon in December.
Loyd reportedly opened fire at the police officer when he saw her this moing.
More details about how the Orlando police officer was wounded are not available.
