Shemika Charles is the Lowest Limbo Dancer

Meet Shemika Charles, the Guiness World Record holder for the Lowest Limbo Dancer. Quite an accomplishment and in a red leotard no less! Trinidadian native Shemika Charles today broke the female limbo record when she slitthered under a bar 8.5 inches from the floor. Shemika was featured on ABC television today on the the "Live with Regis and Kelly' where she performed the feat.

Shemika now resides in Buffalo, N.Y. left Trinidad when she was eight years old. Her parents moved to the United States where just four years ago she took up limbo dancing. This event was arranged and monitored by Guinness World Records officials - yes she is now the World record holder for females doing the limbo.

The World now celebrates her feat and all Trinidadians can now breathe a sigh of relief knowing the record remains intact in the hands of a native Trinidadian.
