SC mom Angela Blackwell accused of putting 4-day-old son in refrigerator for several hours, killing him
CHESTER, S.C. — Authorities say a South Carolina mom has been charged with homicide after she put her 4-day-old son in a refrigerator for three hours.
WSOC reports that Angela Blackwell, 27, is charged with homicide by child abuse.
A police warrant said that Blackwell placed her son in a refrigeration on Feb. 27, and after three hours, her family called Chester County Emergency Medical Services.
According to the county coroner, the child died the same day of hypothermia.
Blackwell faces 20 years to life in prison if convicted, WBTW reports.
