San Diego woman Kenani Kaimuloa dies after collapsing at EDC Music Festival

According to multiple reports, doctors have declared a 20- year- old woman dead after attending the Electric Daisy Caival music festival in Las Vegas.

The woman, Kenani Kaimuloa, suffered a seizure while waiting for a shuttle bus with friends on Monday moing, her father told the Las Vegas Review-Joual­. Kaimuloa’s friends called 911 but paramedics were delayed by heavy traffic due to the festival and couldn’t reach the woman for 10 minutes. Her heart had stopped during that time.

“Iraq was a cakewalk compared to this,” says her father Dane Kaimuloa, an Iraq War veteran. “I’m just tore up. Who would ever think something like this would ever happen to their kid?”

According to the Review-Joual Doctors told Dame Kaimuloa that his daughter had died of heatstroke, dehydration and exhaustion.

Festival organizers shared condolences for the family in a Thursday statement that read. “We were shocked and saddened to lea that a young woman who attended the festival passed away,” said Insomniac Events representatives. “Our sincerest thoughts and condolences go out to the family and friends of the woman. While the cause of this tragedy has not yet been determined, we ask everyone to keep her loved ones in their prayers during their time of grieving.”
