Reporter Charlo Greene who quit on live TV facing 54 years in prison
ANCHORAGE, Alaska —
A former Alaska TV reporter who quit her job on air two years ago to focus on legalizing marijuana is now facing 54 years in prison for allegedly running an illegal marijuana shop.
Former KTVA reporter Charlo Greene's report on a cannabis vote went viral in 2014 when she abruptly quit at the end of the segment.
"And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice, but, (expletive) it, I quit," she said.
According to a report from The Guardian out last week, the former KTVA reporter has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including "misconduct involving a controlled substance." A spokesperson for the Alaska attoey general's office told the outlet she's facing 14 offenses for running the Alaska Cannabis Club.
