SAN FRANCISCO — A man playing "Pokemon Go" was shot dead Saturday near Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Calvin Riley, 20, was fatally shot as he played the mobile game late Saturday in Aquatic Park, said Sgt. Robert Jansing of U.S. Park Police.

Late Sunday, investigators were still looking for the gunman and seeking tips from witnesses.

"There doesn't appear to be any outstanding motive right now," Jansing said, adding that the shooter did not try to rob Riley.

Riley played baseball for San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, where he was studying kinesiology, the Times reported.

GoFundMe for Riley's funeral expenses had raised more than $35,000 late Sunday.

"Calvin Riley, you were my best friend," Gabriel Antonio Morales wrote in the GoFundMe campaign's description. "Nothing in the world will top the good times we've had together. You were more than a cousin/best friend to me, you were my brother."
