According to the WLOS report, a gunman at a South Carolina nightclub was stopped after a man with a concealed weapons permit shot him.
Spartanburg County deputies said that the shooter, Jody Ray Thompson, aged 32, got into an argument at the Playoffz Night Club in Lyman before firing several rounds toward the crowd, hitting three people.
The victims' injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
A fourth person who was nearly hit pulled out his own gun and shot Thompson in the leg. The man had a valid concealed weapons permit and will not be facing charges.
Thompson, of Lyman, was charged with four counts of attempted murder and one count each of possession of a weapon during a violent crime and unlawful carrying of a pistol, according to records from the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office.
He was arrested on June 26 and remained jailed Friday.
