Pastor’s pregnant wife Amanda Blackburn dies after being shot in home invasion robbery
Amanda Blackburn (pictured left with her husband Davey Blackburn and son Weston, and right again with Davey), 28, was shot in her Indianapolis home as she tried to defend herself and her one-year-old son, Weston, from a burglar on Tuesday morning.

An alleged armed robber remained at large Thursday as officials announced the death of a pastor’s wife two days after being shot during a home invasion in Indianapolis.

Amanda Blackbu, 28, was 12 weeks’ pregnant with her second child, according to a local report.  She and her husband, Davey Blackbu, already had one young son and had moved from South Carolina in 2012 to start the Resonate Church, according to the report.

Blackbu was home alone with her son when she was shot in the head at her home Tuesday moing, police said. Her husband had been at the gym and retued home to find her shot, police said. Police said there was a struggle as Blackbu defended herself before being shot.

Police said they had some leads but had not yet identified any suspects.
