NH Man David S. Tulley Killed In Andover Crash
BOSTON -- A New Hampshire man was killed early Friday in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 93 in Andover.
A 2001 Ford Taurus driven by David S. Tulley, 19, of Londonderry, N.H., was traveling northbound when it exited the roadway to the left, onto the shoulder, police said. The car re-entered the highway, and then slid back off the road to the left again, crossed the shoulder and crashed into the median.
The force of the crash sent the Taurus back to the right, causing it to roll over and come to rest in the center lane of the highway.
At that time, the driver of a 2004 Dodge Dakota pickup truck traveling northbound in the center lane suddenly saw the Taurus on the roadway ahead. The Dakota's driver, Michael J. Noury, 51, of Bradford, Mass., applied his brakes but skidded into the Taurus.
Tulley was ejected at some point in the crash. Preliminary investigation indicates he was not wearing a seat belt, police said. He was taken to Lahey Clinic in Burlington, where he was pronounced dead.
Noury suffered minor injuries.
