Martins Ferry Man Mikel Mustachio Killed In Bike Crash
BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio -- Ohio state troopers in Belmont County are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash on the Blaine-Barton Road on Wednesday afteoon.
Investigators said the motorcycle rider slid on gravel in a curve in the road, and the bike flipped over.
The driver, Mikel Mustachio, 26, of Martins Ferry, was thrown from the bike.
Troopers have not determined whether speed was a factor in the crash.
They said Mustachio was not wearing a helmet.
First responders initially called for a medical helicopter but canceled the call because of the severity of Mustachio's condition.
