According to police, Clark attacked his sister, Amelia Garey, with a cane because she refused to allow him smoke marijuana in her home. When her husband, Bill Garey, attempted to stop the attack, Clark retrieved the samurai sword from behind his bed and slashed Bill Garey across the face, leaving a wound that required more the two dozen stiches to mend.
As Bill Garey punched Clark, another man present in the house took the sword from Clark, the man told police.
Bill Garey was taken to the hospital with a large cut on his nose and was later quoted saying, “I got lucky, very, very, lucky,”
