Hotelier Dennis Devlin Gets 15 Years In Child Porn Case
DAYTONA BEACH -- Desert Inn owner Dennis Devlin pleaded guilty today to exploiting a 13-year-old he paid to perform sex acts on video in his hotel, federal prosecutors said.
The 57-year-old hotelier faces at least 15 and up to 30 years in prison -- as does his employee, Michael Ehmen, 20, who brought the boy to his boss.
Ehmen pleaded guilty in federal court earlier this month.
The men exploited the boy in January, when Ehmen picked him up from his Daytona Beach home and brought him to the hotel on Atlantic Avenue at Devlin's request.
Devlin, using an iPhone and video camera, took pictures and video of the boy as he posed nude and performed sex acts, including some with Ehman.
Federal agents raided the hotel in February after receiving a tip from the boy's grandmother. They found "several boxes" of child po and erotica in Devlin's hotel room, where he lived, and about 20 images stored on his office computer.
