HIV-positive student Michael Johnson aka Tiger Mandingo 'filmed sex victims' at Lindenwood University
POLICE say about 30 people may have contracted HIV from a 22-year-old who knowingly had the disease and secretly filmed himself having sex.
In October, Michael Johnson was charged with exposing partners to HIV in Missouri. It was only this month that police worked out that Johnson had allegedly set up a secret camera to file himself having sex and kept the files on his laptop.
"On that laptop were 32 videos engaged in sexual acts with Mr. Johnson," said St. Charles County prosecutor Tim Lohmar.
His HIV secret was revealed when a man told police that he had been diagnosed with gonorrhea and HIV a month after having sex with Johnson, a former Lindenwood University student, in his dorm room.
Court records show Johnson did not wear a condom and lied to some partners who asked if he had any diseases.

Michael Johnson, aka Tiger Mandingo, who is claimed to have knowingly had unprotected sex with up to 30 people who he did not tell that he is HIV positive.
The arrest was the culmination of a five-month investigation on the Lindenwood wrestler, who was a state champion in high school.
Police say Johnson goes by the name Tiger Mandingo online and has six social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram and two Twitter feeds where he is believed to have met his sex partners.
Prosecutors are still trying to identify some of the people in the videos and have urged people to come forward saying it is not just a matter of justice but also a public health issue as well.
Students are shaken up by this latest news, but glad that Johnson is still behind bars for now.
"I think it’s really scary, thinking someone like that is on campus, not thinking about others," said Student Jenny Counts.
If convicted of knowingly transmitting HIV, he could get up to life in prison.
