Franklin County Man Tyler Bingham Arrested on Child Porn Charges

CHAMBERSBURG, FRANKLIN COUNTY — A Franklin County is accused of using the inteet to download and possess illegal Child Poography. 19 year old Tyler Alan Bingham, of Chambersburg was arrested by agents from the Attoey General's Child Predator Unit. Acting Attoey General Bill Ryan says that Bingham allegedly used computer file sharing and peer to peer networking programs to download numerous digital videos that show young children posing naked in sexually suggestive positions or engaging in various sex acts.

Child Predator Unit agents nabbed Bingham while conducting an undercover investigation of various file sharing networks. On Wednesday, agents executed a search warrant at Bingham's home, seizing a computer and data storage devices. Charges against Bingham include 15 counts of Sexual Abuse of Children, related to child poography, and one count of Criminal Use of a Computer, all third degree felonies which are each punishable by up to seven years in prison and $15,000 fines.

Bingham is being held in Franklin County Prison in lieu of $200,000 straight bai. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 15 at 9 am in Franklin County Court.
