Former marine Imran Yousuf saves dozens at Orlando nightclub shooting
A former marine and veteran who served in Afghanistan is being touted as a hero after saving the lives of dozens during the mass shooting incident at an Orlando, Florida nightclub last weekend.
According to a report on CBS News, Imran Yousuf, a bouncer at the Pulse nightclub was working early Sunday moing when the shooting began.
Yousuf told CBS News that “Everyone froze,” and that he was in the back of the club when he saw people “start pouring into the back hallway, and they sardine-pack everyone.”
Yousuf rushed to a nearby latched door and opened it got everyone that they could out of the building. He said more than 60 or 70 people fled through the door.
“I wish I could have saved more, to be honest,” he said.
