Florida man Derek Medina kills wife, posts photo of her body on Facebook

A MAN killed his wife then posted a photo of her body on Facebook and confessed to the murder.

Derek Medina, 31, told his Facebook friends he was "going to prison or death sentence for killing my wife," adding, "love you guys miss you guys take care Facebook people you will see me in the news."

He went on to justify his actions by claiming that his wife had been punching him, The Miami New Times reports.

"I am not going to stand anymore with the abuse so I did what I did I hope you understand me," Medina wrote.

Medina's Facebook page, which has since been deleted, had a photograph of a woman believed to be Jennifer Alfonso bent backwards against kitchen cabinets with her face and arms covered in blood.

The post was captioned "Rip Jennifer Alfonso."

The incident happened early Friday moing, AEST.

There was a 10-year-old girl at the home, authorities say, but she was not hurt.

It is believed the couple had been married since 2012.

Medina listed his occupation on his profile as "Actor" at Bu Notice. He appeared as an extra in an episode filmed in 2009.
