Florida assistant principal Donna Lynch Haff arrested for marijuana cookies
PASCO COUNTY, Fla. - A Tampa Bay area high school assistant principal has been arrested after she overdosed on cookies made with cannabis oil on Monday.
Donna Lynch Haff, 50, is the assistant principal at Anclote High School. She admitted herself to the hospital after reportedly overdosing on cookies made with cannabis oil and was taken into custody after her release on Monday for possession of a controlled substance.
The cookie tested positive for THC in a presumptive field test. Haff's 19-year-old daughter, who was also arrested, admitted to deputies that the cookie belonged to her. She told deputies that she got the cookies from a coworker because her mother wanted to try marijuana for her 50th birthday.
Haff has been put on administrative leave with pay.
