Cop Killer's Brother Arthur Cinelli Charged In Robbery
BOSTON -- A Newburyport man whose brother shot and killed a Wobu police officer was arraigned Monday in connection with a grocery store robbery in Stoneham.
Arthur Cinelli, 50, was charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of stealing by confining and larceny over $250. Police said he and his brother, Dominic Cinelli, held up the Stop & Shop on Nov. 14, 2010.
Arthur Cinelli has been previously charged with conspiracy to commit masked armed robbery and accessory before the fact to masked armed robbery in connection with the Dec. 26 armed robbery of Kohl's Department Store in Wobu.
During that robbery, responding Wobu Police Officer Jack Maguire was shot and killed by Dominic Cinelli as Cinelli attempted to escape after robbing the store. Cinelli was fatally shot by retu fire.
